GRID Autosport “Word On The Street” Trailer

Is it a given that most mobile racers must incessantly demand money from you? GRID Autosport doesn’t. How does the mobile version pull that off?

In 2014 GRID Autosport was developed by Codemasters and released for consoles and PC. Now an iPad and iPhone version exists thanks to Feral Interactive, who ported the game to those platforms last November. The best thing about this version is that, unlike most other mobile racers, it contains no in-app purchases — once you pay the entry fee of $9.99 to buy the game, you have the full game with no nagging to purchase anything else. And as the game gets bigger, all the DLC will be free.

“Adapting a racing game of this scope and quality for iOS has been a challenge, but playing GRID Autosport on iPads and iPhones is a blast,” said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “This iOS version does Codemasters’ magnificent game justice, and we are thrilled to bring it to a new audience.”

GRID Autosport is also fully featured like its console cousins. It includes over 75 cars including the McLaren 12C GT3, Dallara F312, Mazda RX-7 (FD3S) Drift Tuned, Audi RS 5 Coupe, and the Pagani Zonda Revolución. There are also 22 locations making up 100 routes in all, and the game supports the MFi gamepad.

Feral has released a new trailer, “Word On The Street,” calling attention to the critical praise for GRID Autosport. The game is out now for iPhone and iPad.
