Porsche Rallye DLC Pack Coming To GRAVEL
What is the significance of the two historic Porsche cars included in GRAVEL’s Porsche DLC pack? And how can you obtain them? (We mean in the game, not in real life…in real life they cost significantly more.)
In 1981, rally driver Walter Röhrl drove the Porsche 924 GTS into second place at the German Rally Championship — it was the car’s first appearance in a racing event and it didn’t do too bad for itself. Now the 924 GTS is coming to Milestone’s GRAVEL, along with other authentic Porsche cars that have been used in rallies throughout racing history.
One such car is the 1986 Porsche 959, which finished in the top two during the Paris-Dakar, a grueling race across an 8,500 mile stretch of African desert. At the time, the 959 was the most advanced sports car ever built, and it proved itself in the Savannah, with drivers René Metge and Dominique Lemoyne taking first place and Jacky Ickx and Claude Brasseur earning second.
Both the 924 GTS and the 959 are included in the Porsche Rallye DLC pack, along with three official badges from the 1986, 1982 and 1981 rally events. GRAVEL already includes Porsche models in the main game, like the 911 RSR Rallye and the Cayenne Transsyberia.
Currently the only way to get the Porsche Rallye DLC pack is to preorder GRAVEL. Once you do, the extra Porsche cars will be there when the game launches on February 27 for Playstation 4, XBox One and PC.
