F1 2013 Coming to Mac March 6

Feral Interactive announced today that its Mac version of  F1 2013, out last year for Windows, Xbox 360, and PS3, will be available March 6 for Mac players.

So, yeah, because this version was delayed in December, Mac players are getting the 2013 game in 2014, but better late than never for this generally well-received game.

Originally developed and published by Codemasters, the game features the cars, tracks and racers from the 2013 circuit as well as the opportunity to recreate classic races with vintage F1 cars and tracks.

The game comes in two editions. A standard $49.99 edition that will be available in boxed copies and on Steam, and a $64.99 Classic Edition available on Steam and on the Mac App store.

The Classic Edition comes with two additional content packs, a 90s pack that includes 6 classic cars and Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher as drivers, and a classic track pack that includes two more tracks, Imola and Estoril. Those who purchase the standard addition can add this additional content to their games through DLC.

Those who want to play multiplayer should choose where they buy carefully. Copies purchased on the Mac App store will support offline split-screen multiplayer only. Copies purchased anywhere else will support 16-player cross-platform multiplayer using SteamPlay, and will require a Steam account for activation
