Initial D Coming To Amazon

Japanese Manga racing series “Initial D” will be coming to Amazon’s ComiXology in 2019 in a deal with Kodansha Comics that mark the first time the full 48-volume series will be available in the English language. The first 38 volumes will be available immediately while the remaining 10 volumes will be available later in the year.

Created by Shuichi Shigeno, Initial D is set in the world of Japanese street racing – with a focus on drifting – and tells the story of Tak Fujiwara, a teenage delivery driver who discovers that he has, entirely by accident, mastered driving skills that rival those of the street racing teams he and his friends are fans of. When a legendary team shows up to challenge the local Akina Speed Stars team, Tak becomes drawn into a life of racing.
