GTA Online Gets Patriotic With the Star-Spangled, Car-Crushing Spirit of Independence

Are you some spineless Commie wimp? No? Then get on GTA Online and start playing the Independence Day Special (In Association With Ammunation).

It’s everything you love about American exceptionalism, unbridled displays of second amendment enthusiasm, and conspicuous consumption, mixed with the psychopathic hellscape that is GTA Online.

The update adds two new vehicles, a star-spangled Liberator motorcycle and even more freaking star-spangled and patriotic Liberator monster truck, for liberating those other drivers who get in your way from the burden of breathing.

There are also two new weapons, a musket the founding fathers would be proud of and a fireworks rocket. Plus new properties, new clothing like a “Made in the USA” shirt, and a mullet hairstyle, of course. Also, there’s one very nice, not necessarily patriotic new feature, On Call Matchmaking, which “allows players to accept a Job invite and continue playing in Freemode until that Job fills up, reducing time spent idle while waiting for a Job to start.”
