Gran Turismo Feature Film Set To Debut In 2023
“Gran Turismo” is currently scheduled to be a feature film and Sony has set a release date of August 11, 2023 for their video game adaptation which is currently scheduled to be directed by from Neill Blomkamp [“District 9”].
The plot will be based on the true story of teenage “Gran Turismo” player [presumably Sport] whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions allowing him to achieve his dream of becoming an actual professional race car driver.
The “Gran Turismo” video game racing/driving simulator franchise was, of course, created by Polyphony and Kazunori Yamauchi in 1997, has sold more than 85 million copies and is currently on its most recent iteration – “Gran Turismo 7” – available on both PS 4 and PS 5.
