Gran Turismo Adds Futuristic Infiniti Concept Car

Check out that video? Doesn’t that just make you feel like the high tech, Buck Rogers future promised in science fiction is just around the corner?

Infiniti’s new concept car is now available in Gran Turismo 6 through the 1.15 update. You can buy the car outright or earn it through completing a special limited time event. Since the limited time event asks you to simply complete a lap, regardless of your time, I’d suggest going that way.

In a press release about the new car, Polyphony Digital says the car is meant to “capture the rise of the young generation, the romantic and sensational Asian creativity.” The currently virtual car was created as part of the Vision Gran Turismo project, which challenges automakers to present their vision of “Gran Turismo,” which before it became the name of a video game was just what you called a two-door sports car or “grand touring” car. Nissan’s luxury Infiniti division joins Subaru, Toyota, Aston Martin, Nissan’s main division, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi and Mercedes in the Vision program.
