45 Million Copies of GTA V Now Shipped

In an investors call yesterday, Grand Theft Auto V publisher Take-Two Interactive revealed that it has shipped 10 million copies of the game for Xbox One and PS4 alone.

That brings the overall total of copies shipped for the game to more than 45 million. And it still hasn’t had its release on PC, which will be coming March 24.

So don’t tell Take-Two that (virtual) crime doesn’t pay. According to CNET the company’s overall sales in the most recent quarter were $954 million, up about 20 percent from $768 million from the same quarter last year.

News of the increased earnings sent Take-Two’s stock up seven percent. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said that fiscally, 2014 was lining up to be one of Take-Two’s best years ever.
